About SC Barrel House

The Bickley property was purchased by Jacob & Kimberly Hare in early 2022. It was a hidden gem  near the Town of Lexington on 40 acres fully fenced in with a pond! The property & main house definitely needed some updating & upgrading but we saw the potential instantly! It was a place where our family could live secluded but also so close to town & a possible business venture (with a long road and lots of work ahead of us)! We spent the next 3 years creating what we thought would be the perfect spot for a Venue! 

The property also doubles as a mini family farm! We have Chickens, Turkeys, Goats , some visiting Geese, 5 dogs (Great Pyrenees, 2 French Bulldogs, French Mastiff & a Schnauzer) and the property is looked after by our Farm Cat (Twix)! 

We have peach & apple trees growing and our future goal is to also have a Pumpkin Patch & a wildflower field!

Since The Barrel House opened its doors in April 2025, we have hosted countless memorable events for our clients. Our goal is to continue being the premier event space in the region for years to come.

"The Wine Cellar" is our indoor space that is about 1500sqft with a large surrounding covered patio enclosed with heavy duty plastic drapes during winter months so you can enjoy more space with comfort when it's cold outside! 

"The Barrel House Pavilion"  is our covered pavilion (40x80) that is perfect for large weddings and includes ceremony benches. It has a lighted pathway to The Wine Cellar & towards the pond area.
